I expected the same, even watching his numbers rise, couldn't believe it until they announced him. Makes me proud of the majority of the voting Citizens of this country, for a change!!!!!!!

Re: President Obama

You guys, I am still crying this morning. Wow. Just blown away that it wasn't a nailbiter, that despite the voting difficulties in FL and OH, Obama still carried both states. I keep picking up my newspaper and reading the headline. "Can you feel a brand new day?"

Re: President Obama

Agreed. When I saw the 207, my stomach lurched. I flipped over to my maps and did a quick tally. I saw that if we gave Obama the entire West Coast and Hawaii and gave McCain the rest of the unclaimed states, Obama would still win. Then Obama got FL and it was over.

Re: President Obama

The thing that shocked me was how fast it all happened. One minute Barack was at 207 and the next he was at 273. Once the polls closed here it was over. I expected dirty tricks too.

Re: President Obama

Exhale... nope, has not sunk in yet, and the tears are there, I just haven't let them out yet. I too expected a long night and much more 'shenanigans'... I can't wait to hear President Obama speak... Here he is. HUGS and Smooches!!! And thank you!!

Re: President Obama

I may not stop crying tonight. I know I still don't entirely believe it either. As someone who called me from Portland Maine said "Pinch me, because I really don't understand how this happened!" We cry tears of joy together.
